Data and Observations
Tethys is working with partners in the offshore renewable energy research and development community to identify and prepare publicly accessible data and metadata on environmental effects of ocean energy development, derived from monitoring active projects, as well as baseline assessments of development areas, laboratory studies, field experiments, and numerical modeling results. Few data sets exist at this time; as more data become available, they will be added to Tethys. Some examples of simple data analyses and data products that are pertinent to the environmental effects of MHK and OSW developments include:
If you are interested sharing a data set that you've created with the MHK community, we'd love to hear from you. To find out more about sharing data via Tethys, please contact:

Functionality of Tethys
Data manipulation, standard statistical analysis, graphical display, and tabular reporting are supported within Tethys. Tethys has developed linkages to more complex mapping programs such as the Multi Purpose Marine Cadastre in order to provide users with enhanced geographical outputs.
